Party After the Wedding

The highlight of every wedding ironically comes after it, the wedding party. The wedding party serves as a venue of hospitality for the people who took part on one of the happiest moment of a couple's life. It is a party for gratitude and reception - the couple receives the society for the first time as a married couple. It has become a must for entertainment of the guests; depending on the culture, the party usually lasts for hours, days, or even weeks. To have the wedding party of your dreams, there are several preparations that must be considered.

Purpose

Every party held and hosted must be for a specific purpose. Traditionally, the wedding after the party is usually held for the community to recognize the newly married couple. It is also during this party that the couple shares their gratitude and sentiments to the people who came to share the moment with them, to the people who helped preparing everything, and for the Almighty for giving them the opportunity.

Setting the Date and Budget

Commonly, wedding parties come right after the wedding ceremonies. However, there are cultures that held the wedding party on a separate day. Meanwhile, the party must have a well-organized budget. No matter how tight or extravagant the budget is, as long as it is well-prepared and properly allocated, everything will be worry-free.

Guest List

Preparing the guest list is probably one of the things the couple must look into. The guest list allows you to have a vision on the number of people coming, the foods and other preparation needed, and the budget necessary for the event. The guest list will also allow you to assign specific table you would like for certain group of guests (officemates, superiors, friends, relatives, and etc.).
