I believe I would be great choice to fill a scientific research position. I am thrilled at the opportunity of gaining more research experience. I have had an extensive education in biology, and it would be hard for me to choose just one area I am passionate about. Being able to create, or be exposed to, new ideas and technologies is an exciting part of research I look forward to.

I've been fortunate to have found a career path that I love—scientific research. Although I do not have extensive experience in this field, the experience I do have has only strengthened my desire to be involved in research. I believe that my experiences in college and especially my job as a lab assistant have prepared me for such a career. By tutoring students, I have learned patience and strengthened my communication skills. Through years of customer service, I have had the chance to work with a wide variety of people in a cooperative team setting. Working independently is also a strong suit of mine and one I developed while doing projects and writing research papers during my college coursework.

I greatly enjoy problem solving, although I have an unusual technique to finding solutions. I go backwards and figure out what can go wrong in each scenario before I begin the experiment. I feel that this approach provides me with a more complete understanding of a challenge, and therefore, greater ability to find a solution to it. I believe my greatest asset that I would bring to the work environment is a passionate desire to become a more effective and innovative researcher. I appreciate your consideration and believe that I have the potential to become an outstanding asset to your research team.
