As of today, there is more Subway restaurant in the world than any other restaurant chains. That is what is making Subway become the leader in the global development of the quick services restaurant industry. Subway currently employs about 150,000 people in more than 36,000 locations in 98 countries around the world. Their main goal has been making Subway chain to be ranked the number one restaurant by consumers and in every market that Subway serves. (Subways Marketing strategies 2010)

All Subway are owned and operated by local business people that choose where to place the Subway restaurants. The franchisee buys the right to run a Subway franchise according to Doctor’s Associates, Inc. contract. There will be a development team that works with the new entrepreneur to provide assistants with opening and running of the restaurant. After opening the store, Subway will continuously provide assistance to make sure the franchisee gets up and running. Subway is a registered trademark of Doctors Associates, Inc.
