How the Bangladesh judiciary functions?

It acts through the 

(1) Superior Judiciary

Having Appellate, Revision & original Jurisdiction.

&

(2) Sub-Ordinate Judiciary

Having Original Jurisdiction

The Superior Judiciary 

Bangladesh Supreme Court is the Highest court of Bangladesh, having two wings namely;

 1.Appellate Division

2.High Court Division

Bangladesh Supreme Court is the creation of article 94 of the

Bangladesh Supreme Court is the creation of article 94 of the 

Bangladesh Constitution which provides:

  | (1) There shall be a Supreme Court for Bangladesh (to be Known as the Supreme Court of Bangladesh) comprising the Appellate Division and the High Court Division.(2) The Supreme Court shall consist of the Chief Justice, to be known as the Chief Justice of Bangladesh, and such number of other Judges as the President may deem it necessary to appoint to each division.(3) The Chief Justice, and the Judges appointed to the Appellate Division, shall sit only in that division and the other Judges shall sit only in the High Court Division.(4) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution the Chief Justice and the other Judges shall be independent in the exercise of their judicial functions.The subordinate judiciary is under the control of High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court As per the provision of article 109 of the constitution. | |

Superintendence and control over courts

The High Court shall have superintendence and control over all courts [and tribunals] subordinate to it.

The Sub-ordinate judiciary is the creation of Act of parliamen.Article 114 of the constitution provides thus :

“There shall be in addition to the Supreme Court such courts subordinate thereto as may be established by law.”
