Key Facts:

* Future Vision Digital Services Inc. (FVDS) is a technology consulting & design firm that has grown rapidly and is comprised of blue chip clients globally.

* Blake Randolph is the Vice President of Technology Development and is the direct supervisor to Andre Gregoire, a gifted but unreliable Technical Architect for FVDS.

* Gregoire is currently working on a project for a European client. Jacques Riveaux, the VP of European Operations, has been trying to reach Gregoire but has been unsuccessful in his attempts.

* Gregoire is an exceptional developer and good at leading technical staff, but is not interested in delegating or mentoring junior staff members which are proving to be a problem for FVDS. Gregoire has strong executive sponsorship due to his diligence.  He is attentive, articulate and great with clients. Exceptional developers can produce exceptional results but usually can be difficult or unpredictable.

* Gregoire works hours that do not coincide with his counterparts at FVDS. The company has granted him leeway in this regard because he is talented and committed but the other employees at the company are finding Gregoire too difficult to deal with, opting to forgo his talent to avoid the difficulties associated with collaborating with him.

* Gregoire has been previously talked to multiple times about his tardiness; however, he eventually reverts to the same behaviour.

* Blake Randolph must take corrective action to make Gregoire conform to the regular hours of operations of the company or continue to deal with these difficulties.

* Randolph does not know the best situation to deal with Gregoire to ensure customer satisfaction.

* Gregoire is too much of an asset to lose and Randolph is worried that if he confronts him the Gregoire will quit or he will lose his relationship with him.
