The current manager of the pizza chain, Domino’s Pizza, is interested in entering the demographic marketplace of the Largo Metropolitan Area in Prince George’s County, Maryland. In order to help this business transaction, research must be done appropriately and conducted in this direct area to document the facts and numbers to provide specific recommendations as to whether the pizza chain would profit if they open a store in the area.

Largo Overview

Currently in Largo the population there is 10,709 people. The major thorough area is located just east of the Capital Beltway (I-95/495) and is home to Prince George's Community College and Largo High School. Six Flags America amusement park is to the east in Mitchellville, and FedEx Field, the Washington Redskins' football stadium, is across the Capital Beltway in Summerfield. Watkins Regional Park in Kettering just to the east of Largo operated by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission has an old fashioned carousel, miniature train ride, miniature golf, the Old Maryland Farm, a very large playground, and animals on display. Since the transit system's expansion in late 2004, Largo Town Center has served as the eastern end of the Blue Line of the Washington Metro.There are 3,758 homes, 3,521 occupied, 2,313 owner occupied and 1,208 renter occupied.

Issues for consideration are the current fast food establishments currently in the area, housing information, income and population demographics for those who are currently housed in the area. There are currently 4-5 pizza establishments in the immediate area surrounding a three-

mile radius. Not included in these numbers is an additional Domino’s Pizza in the surrounding city district, Temple Hills, Suitland, Landover, Capitol Heights area. Other pizza chains include Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, Romano’s Pizza and Wings, and other...
