Effects of HR practices moving onto the Knowledge Economy
1. Objective of Report
This report will firstly discuss workforce related issues within the context of Singapore, followed by the definition and functions of Human Resource Management, knowledge management, and organizational learning. It will then continue to explain the benefits of applying KM and OL principles which leads to innovation and achieving competitive advantage in terms of training and development and other human resource activities.
2. Introduction
According to Vadaketh (2013), The Singapore economy is seen to be increasingly dependent on knowledge work through the years. Nevertheless, recruiting foreign talents to fill knowledge-based jobs are rampant due to domestic talent shortages.
