1. Business Summary

Project Title:

The title of our bar/restaurant/music venue will be “The Wicklow.” Wicklow is a county in Ireland. We feel that this brings out some of the themes of our restaurant, including a slight Irish influence and an emphasis on the live music performance aspect of the venue.

The venue will be owned and operated by Thomas Campbell and Joseph DiLeonardo.

What We Do:

The Wicklow is a place of entertainment catering to a number of different demographics by providing the perfect balance between a typical restaurant/bar and a concert venue.

Objectives

The objective of our website is to raise awareness of the venue, and to promote our events calendar. We plan to showcase any of the acts that we book and inform our customers of new events and specials that we will be running in order to attract people to our venue. We will also provide information about the venue, including photographs, a menu, directions and answers to commonly asked questions. We also plan to establish an online community with our message board that encourages customers to visit the venue.

2. Market Opportunity

We plan to situate the venue in downtown Stamford, CT. We believe this is advantageous because there is already a strong market in the downtown area that would be interested in a new restaurant/music venue. We believe the segment of the population that demands live music is underserved and we see a significant market opportunity.

We believe that Stamford is a growing market for our target demographic because the city of Stamford, especially the downtown area is growing so much. Many businesses are establishing their headquarters in Stamford, which is attracting a large number of our target demographic to live in the area.
