Economic futures for Larson Incorporated.

Changing the way a company does business is based on the wants and needs of the consumers. At the same time companies must take into consideration the advances in technology and changes in the economy. Looking at possible economic futures in the next five years this paper lists some suggested some recommendations.

The first economic future that Larson could fall into in the next five years reflects the “U” shape. The market could face an extended period of improbability in the market. The U shape recession is a longer recover and the United States is believed to in a U shape current (Manuel, 2010). A slow recovery in the current economic condition of the market would mean a prolonged recession. The current job and housing market continue to show no signs of immediate recovery meaning the extended improbability could continue. The non-pricing strategy of rebranding and using the branding to show the added value of the Larson batteries would work in the current economy structure. Repackaging batteries used in daily household items to bring added value an already stretched household could be a marketing strategy to bring more sales.

The second economic future could reflect the “V” shape representing the market crashing to rock bottom and an upturn in the recovery. The market has already taken a huge hit with housing and the job market in need of recovery. Many of the states have already started to see a rise in the value of property. Jobs are coming back and the unemployment rates are dropping every day. More people back to work means more money coming into households and consumers purchasing. When money is back in the consumer’s pockets means that purchases are up. Technology is a part of everyday life for all consumers. Young children using computers and gaming need batteries. Adults use cell phones, pda’s, and computers daily and all require batteries to power up those devices, meaning more battery sales for Larson....
