Learning Team

During this course, I have the pleasure of being placed in a team with three other individuals who share similar skill sets and goals as I do. Our strengths focus on Microsoft Office suite, time management and organizational skills, and our overall commitment to receiving our MBA. Our primary weakness deals with the APA format. We all agree that this skill is something we all need to work on. I do not think we are far from achieving the goal of improving our APA formatting skills. APA formatting can be intimidating for me, personally, because I have been out of school for some time, and I do not write papers on a daily basis. It is a challenge that I am eager to overcome. Fortunately, we have the Center for Writing Excellence to assist us with APA formatting.

Some of our goals as a team include submit a good quality assignment, achieve success as a team, avoid failure, and maintain team integrity. These goals will allow our team to function successfully as one unit. As long as we continue to focus on our goals as a team, our work will be of good quality and our team will achieve success each week. I think that one goal we forgot to mention is to maintain professionalism. It has been my past experience that individuals tend to allow themselves to get carried away and lose professionalism when dealing with a conflict within the team. It is important to maintain professionalism when things become ‘sour’. In the end, our team’s success is what matters and personal differences will be dealt with accordingly.
