URGENT

MEMO TO: Supervisory Team

FROM: Oswald V White

Good afternoon team, as we all know our company is in the mists of a merger that will take place with Enviro Tech. I wanted examine a few items with my team so that we can all be on same accord. The items that I wanted to discuss are, the importance how a manager’s behavior can affect the productivity of his or her workers, the types of management action that align with employment laws and the best practices for working within a diverse work environment.

We all must understand that our behavior affect everyone, my behavior affect the supervisor team, your behavior affects your workers and your workers behavior will affect you, it is a spiral affect that must be kept under control. Unmanaged and destructive behaviors by managers can turn the best job in a miserable one. For instance if you are constantly yelling at your workers, it will create an atmosphere of suspicion and fear and it will have a great impact the employee behavior. Bad behaviors by managers is not something that we should accept, appropriate behaviors from our managers help create a satisfying work environment. How do we turn this around, we try to appreciate our employee’s and understand how it impact their attitude, look at their productivity and try to work with them, always remember to treat other as how we want like to be treated.

We should try to look at the good and not always concentrate on bad. Trying to

understand our employee’s is the key; working with them is also something that we must

put our emphasis on. We must understand that with good employees standing behind us, this company will not be successful and the merger will not be taking place.

As managers we must understand employment laws, so that we can align them with our employees, we should understand the discrimination laws (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964) Family and Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination, (the Age Discrimination...
