|COURSE DESCRIPTION |ENTR 3100 explores the primary issues that should be considered in starting and managing a small business within the |
| |Canadian context. From the perspective of managing a small business the course provides students with a hands-on |
| |approach to learning and applying concepts from the various management disciplines, including: Finance & Accounting, |
| |Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Policy & Strategy, Legal Issues, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. |

| |The primary learning methodologies are case analysis, student presentations, lectures and an intensive project in |
| |which students analyze and develop a business plan for an existing small business. |
