Reason for Choosing RAP Topic

In order to survive the highly volatile and aggressive business market, it is essential for an organization to exploit its strengths and take advantage of the opportunities presented by the market. At the same time the weaknesses of the organization and threats to its survival are also to be managed efficiently. Moreover, the financial performance also plays an important role in its business standing especially in trying times. This is the prime reason for me to choose the topic; to know the financial health of a reputed business company and in turn enhance my own practical skills regarding financial and business analysis.

Why Automobile Industry?

I chose automobile industry for my research project as it is considered as one of the leading industries responsible for the growth of economy of a country. This is one of those businesses which affect the lives of everyone from a person travelling by public transport to people who own luxury vehicles. The economic meltdown across the globe has also affected the automobile industry and I wanted to know how this industry has fared over a period of time. Moreover, automobile industry being one of the key market player, provides a host of opportunities to learn about the impact of various financial decision taken by its management.

Why TATA Motors?

The decision of using TATA Motors was taken on the basis of its indigenous efforts to promote automotive industry despite being a company of a developing nation and its consistent financial performance over last many years.
