PROJECT PROPOSAL

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

Name of Proponents:

De Jesus, Timothy John I.

Gamolo, Jerico Angelo T.

Marquez, Marc Jean B.

1.0 Proposed Thesis Title:

“Emergency Care System using Fingerprint Scanner for AFPMC”

2.0 Area of Investigation:

Government hospitals nowadays have this “old school” patient system. In this system, patients, doctors, and even hospital employees ease their jobs. Patients can easily create their temporary (as soon as they’re declared as outpatient) hospital accounts, further, after they created their accounts (they can use hospital facilities, beds and food with their respective price on it, nurses and other hospital employees are responsible for managing their patients in their particular petal/ward. When the patient has already been recovered from his/her ill, in the OPD section, the OIC is in charge for the releasing of the patients’ total expenses, there; they can easily see the summarized amount with the privileged payment of cash or check. After the process, the patients’ account will be deleted but it prints a copy in a paper for file security and history.

3.0 Reasons for choice of Project:

We choose this kind of system because we’re on the job trainees and we see patients having trouble before admitting and using hospital facilities.

4.0 Importance of the study:

Ease of use for the patient, hospital employees and staff (e.g. cashier). For using hospital facilities and payment concerns.

5.0 Target Users/Beneficiaries:

The target beneficiaries are the Patient (first come first serve), Cashier and the Patients’ guardian or spouse.

6.0 Similarity with Previous Study/Project:

Just like the ‘old school’ patient admitting rules or any other registering services, they can ease employee’s jobs and even user friendly GUI.
