Dreams Achieved By Few

Becoming a Stadium Manager for one of the most elite football clubs in all of England is a job achieved by few but desired by many. This had not been a dream of mine until this past summer when I toured Emirates Stadium in London and was blown away by its beauty. Through my research I was able to learn a significant amount of information surrounding what it takes to make it in the sports management industry but more specifically, stadium management. I learned many different key attributes that are not just critical to specific divisions of sports managers, but management in general. While there are many different management opportunities in the sports world, the control of such a large force of people attracts me to the stadium management industry.

Growing up, my father had always emphasized the importance of doing something you love mostly due to the hatred he had for his current job. This could be why I am here today in a classroom that brings my two greatest interests together, business and sports. Becoming a Stadium Manager for an English football team would be my ideal job and overseeing or leading a group of people is something I have always strived at. I really enjoy working with numbers so managing the financial sector of a stadium would be a great place for me to put my math skills to use. One of the main reasons I decided on this job was the importance on communication and working well with others. If there is one trait I pride my self in, it is my ability to be socially versatile. This will be vital in the day-to-day operations of a Stadium Manager but is only a small piece needed to excel at this job.
