The Occasion of the P.T.A General Meeting.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to today’s general meeting of the Parent Teachers Association of NAOWA, Nursery and Primary School, Kalapanzi Barracks. I am indeed grateful to God Almighty, who has sustained us and has brought us together once again, to deliberate on the welfare, progress and the future of our children. May he grant us fruitful deliberations.

I assumed duty on the 23-09-09 as the head teacher and since then no meeting has been held due to some unforeseen circumstances. The school has some teething problems since it moved to present site, but thanks to our able mum in person of the 1 Div NAOWA President, Mrs. T. Role who has assisted by repairing the broken floors, in the classrooms and corridors and provided a set of flat screen computer to aid in the teaching of computer. As you can see flowers have been planted outside the school compound, a Gee-pee tank and tap which serve both the school and barracks is sited at the entrance of the school.

I wish to appeal to parents in the following areas

a. Lateness to School:

School resumes at 7:45am but some pupils come in at 8:30am or 9:00am, thereby missing the first period, which is not good enough. Please wake them up early to get to school on time

b. Books:

Majority of our pupils do not have textbooks. They cannot work in class and home if these textbooks are not provided

c. Uniforms:

Parents are advised to buy their uniforms from the school. As from next term all uniforms that are not in conformity with all the color prescribed will be rejected. The uniform is army green with maroon stripe and brown sandals and white stockings please endeavor to get your uniform from the School.

d. Opening Day:

Very few parents turn up for the open day of 16th of June. Parents should please come to school on open day...
