Ethical issues and Solutions in the Endangered Wildlife Trust

Abstract

The Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) was a non-governmental, non-profit conservation organization, one of the

largest environmental conservation organizations in southern Africa. The vision of EWT is conservation of

threatened species and ecosystems. EWT has effective fundraising and marketing, using a variety of ways to obtain revenue. But affected by the global economic crisis, EWT needs to develop a more effective and flexible business strategy in order to adapt to the current economic environment. According to its own conditions and external environment, EWT faced with more opportunities and challenges. This paper presents the most important ethical issues and the corresponding solutions to EWT.

Definition:Stakeholder(corporate)a person, group, organization, member or system who affects or can be affected by an organization's actions.

1 Classified stakeholders of the EWT

(1) Internal stakeholders

* EWT board of directors

Board of directors sustains the development of organization , strengthens the public image of organization and reduces the limit of external environment on organization.

* EWT stuff

EWT stuff includes managers and general staff.

Managers implement the decisions of the board of directors, responsible for managing the organizational efficiency, improving staff morale, establishing a good working environment and setting a good image of organization. General staff responsible for performing work at the grassroots level by performing organization strategy, and achieve organizational goals.

* Volunteers

Volunteers are a motivation of EWT. They provide free services , which reduces labor costs. They also drive the employee morale, improve job satisfaction and expand organization influence.
