Tim’s Coffee Shoppe has many strengths and weaknesses, as with any business, as well as factors that set it apart from the other competitors in the area. It is important for Tim to figure out what these strength and weaknesses are so that he can try to rectify any issues he has and elaborate on his strengths. It’s always important in any business or industry to stay competitive and continue to move forward to be able to appease your current and future customers. Coffee Shops have become a rapidly growing business in recent years and many people have been trying to jump on that band wagon and ride it to the bank, however, many have not lasted very long. The shops that have lasted each have their own unique qualities that separate them slightly from their competitors. Coffee in general has almost become something of a fad in the current market, from Starbucks to Keurigs coffee is everywhere. It is important for any competitor in this market to be on their A game and aware of what’s going on so that they don't go under.

In this market Tim’s two biggest competitors are Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, which are currently located across the street from each other. These two competitors have many similarities and many differences both from each other as well as from Tim’s shop. All three companies sell coffee as well as other morning drinks and food, Starbucks locations vary on what food products they sell.
