The world culture I decided to go with is China. The two movies I choose to watch and evaluate is The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Enter the Dragon. The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon starts off with two warriors, one accomplished swordsman teacher Li Mu Bai and a good friend of his named Shu Lein, a female warrior also. They developed feelings toward each other but never acted on it. Mu Bai wanted to give up his warrior life and decided to give his sword as a gift to their friend Sir Te. While Shu Lein is there to deliver the gift to Sir Te she meets a a girl named Jen the Governor’s daughter. Jen yearning for an adventure was destined for a arranged marriage. She was envious of Shu Lein warrior lifestyle and happiness with Mu Bai. She wanted the same for herself and Lo, who was a desert bandit that raided the Governor’s caravan. After she chased after him she spent days in a cave as her prisoner but ended up falling in love.

Jade Fox posing as Jen’s governess was a theif and a murderer. She murdered Mu Bai master after stealing the Wudang manual from him. Jen being jealous and tired of living her life the way other people wanted her too decided to steal the sword and have the life she envy. When Shu Lein and Mu Bai followed Jen back to the Governors place Mu Bai saw Fox and prepared to fight. After seeing Jens skills Fox felt betrayed not knowing that Jen has been secretly studying the Wudang manual and has suppressed her in skills. Fox prepares to kill them all and escape with or without Jen. Fox poisoned Mu Bai after trying to kill Jen since she hid the secret of Wudang from her. Mu Bai killed Fox not knowing that she poisoned him. When Jen found out who Fox really was she decided to help save Shu Lei. She left to go and get the ingredients but when she got back it was too late.
