One of the main reasons Nike decide to take their business to Brazil was because their market was just too large to overlook. Brazil is considered a melting pot for many cultures from Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia and with Nike being a global brand company, they go hand in hand. With Brazil being such a diverse country it can only have a positive effect on Nike, with more opportunities for the company to introduce themselves to different markets, advance in knowledge with services and products for a different crowd of people, and also it can help with the growth of Nikes brand reputation. The focus of diversity is actual a really significant part of upholding a large company like Nike, not only to help them keep the development of the company but also to continue the growth of the range of customers and to help Nike continue upholding their competitiveness.

Another reason Nike decide to work with Brazil is because the country is so huge. Brazil has so much to offer, from the diverse culture, beautiful cities, the festive carnival, to the Olympics. The Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXI Olympiad will be hosted in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which will be held from August 5 to 21 of 2016. Along with the Olympics, Brazil is also going to be hosting the Soccer World Cup in 2014, placing it at the focus of the worldwide sporting events for soccer for the following four years.

Although, Nike has stood as a worldwide frontrunner in the sporting supplies market for an extended period but it has at no time controlled the market in soccer, which is where Brazil comes into play. Since Brazil is so well known for soccer, Nike can only benefit from them.
