Whether or not to consider nuclear energy as an optimal choice for the future power is a hotly debated question. It is the considered opinion of this writer that fostering the development of nuclear power is not a well-thought decision.

Advocates of nuclear power point to the fact that nuclear power source, one of the most remarkable inventions in the millennium, stands out to be the source of powerful energy of which applications are prevalently used in many staple sectors such as construction, army, astrology, electricity and so on. It is essential to grasp the fact that this kind of energy consumes a substantial amount of uranium. One must not forget that uranium, a vital element of nuclear energy, is much expensive. Under these conditions, the procedure to generate nuclear energy is quite money-consuming and requires outstandingly high technology which hinders poor nations to produce a sustainable energy source for decades to come.

Opponents of nuclear energy rely on the jeopardy hiding behind its flexible applications to make their case. It must be pointed out that it is extremely dangerous turning to the process of storage as well as transportation of uranium. While other types of energy sources namely renewable energy tape the nature sources to produce electricity safely and friendly-environmentally, nuclear energy is a different story. Thereby, one can see that instead of focusing on nuclear energy, a government with a tight budget and a low level of technology opts for renewable energy to ensure the power source.

It is for reasons of efficiency that this writer opposes any program aiming to use nuclear source. This stems from the fact that if these proposals are not censored well, a small error can lead to a catastrophic disaster.
