Problem Effective Planning for CanGo
During the resolution part of our video’s for this week, Debbie, Andrew, and Gail converse about a new system, the VAL STYSTEM 2 that will help them plan out the tendencies and demographic of their target consumers. To serve their target market effectively, marketers must understand how consumers go about deciding to buy a product. This consumer buying process usually involves five steps: The recognition that a need for a product exists, a search for information about products that might satisfy the need, an evaluation of alternative products, a purchase decision, and a post-purchase evaluation.
Solution- Understand and Plan around these 5 steps.
Recognition- recognition, is the point where a potential buyer determines that they have an unfulfilled need want or desire. To plan around this CanGO must make sure that they research ways on how to make the products appealing on a hands off visual basis.
Search of Information- Information search is the stage in the buyer decision process in which the consumer is aroused to search for more information. The consumer is engaged in problem solving behavior. As far as planning goes this walks hand in hand with planning for recognition. If they are engaged, then they will continue their search for more information.
Evaluation- As you are planning through this phase, you have to make sure that your product reels them in to the point where they feel like there is no need to evaluate and continue shopping around, because your product is just the “perfect find.” Reason being is because this is the stage in the buyer decision process in which the consumer uses information to evaluate alternative brands in the choice set
Decision- In this stage the consumer chooses the product or brand to be bought. With that being said, they have now made their choice so don’t give them a reason to back out. When planning for a smooth decision making process, make sure...
