Many psychological disorders are known and recognized by many people. Sexual psychological disorders are not as pronounced but are still very important. When a person’s life is affected sexually, it can end a relationship or even mess with a person’s self-esteem. When a female is experiencing a lack of sexual arousal, this is also a psychological disorder that can be addressed and treated.

Female sexual arousal disorder is a constant problem with having a sexual desire. Without having a sexual response, it is difficult to perform or have an enjoyable orgasm. For some women, sexual intercourse can be painful and this causes a psychological block when sex is involved. Female sexual arousal disorder can occur because the libido has lessened or diminished. Not having a sex drive can lead to a woman trying different tactics to stimulate herself sexually.

Sex can be physical, mental, and emotional. Women tend to be emotionally when sex is involved, and this can affect the sex drive and arousal immensely. Female sexual arousal disorder consists of the desire to have sex, but the feeling is just no there. A woman can experience this at any age and stage of life. Many women lose the sensation when they are sick, pregnant, or beginning menopause. During these times the want to have sex may be lessened due to the different changes occurring within the body.

Female sexual arousal disorder can be caused by many factors. Some women are plagued by a childhood experience; in most cases this is a subject of sexual abuse. Other factors can be tied to fatigue, stress, self-esteem issues, or even depression. Relationship factors can also affect a woman’s arousal. When there are problems within the relationship such as infidelity, a woman’s emotions can alter her sexual performance.
