Unforeseen events have occurred at the Coca Cola experimental brewing lab. These circumstances have prompt me to come to this board meeting to give information on the general details of what will happen in the days to come.

As a worldwide cooperation, this company prides itself to produce a high quality of products. Our testing facility selected 20 people to be taste tasters for a new product. James Thomas is in charge of this product. He has informed me, the testers loved the new product’s taste. However, it was brought to my attention a deceased feline was discovered floating near the bottom of our vat. I am here today with my plan of how to handle this situation.

The items on my agenda will be as follows. I am aware of the legal ramifications, moral questions, health questions, sanitation questions, lawsuits, and bad press occurring with my plan.

The first item on my agenda is to inform the taste testers. After informing the taste testers, I will be notifying the public. I know this will cause uproar, but I believe informing the public is curial. King (2006) has stated, the public deserves to know the truth, no matter what the outcome is. By informing the public, it will show the Coca-Cola has nothing to hide and that this was an accident. FDA believes a warning to consumers is needed. (www.FDA.gov, 2006). I am aware of the consequences to follow by informing the public. Any legal ramifications will be addressed as it comes. Law suites that I know will concur from this incident will ultimately come from the taste testers.

I know there will be questions I need to address. Moral questions such as, “Should the company tell the public?” This question will be answered by the actions taken today. Yes, I will inform the public. What type of health problems and sanitation problems will we have? These questions can not be answered, until our scientist’s and lab does an extensive investigation.
