Working in IT

In the case we can see that several IT issues were discussed, some of which seemed to need clarification from the company in which the issues occurred. Such as installing unlicensed software, using customer lists stolen from competitors, and employees making anonymous posts in the internet forums beneficial to their company but detrimental to competitors. All these are examples of the issues that should've been clarified by the company. In my opinion all the issues discussed in the case are highly inappropriate as well as disrespectful to your competitors and your company as a whole. What I think is the reason behind all these things happening in the company is due to the lack of managerial supervision as well as managers establishing good ethical standards within their employees. Managers should lead by example wherefore the employees will follow the same act to establish corporate stability and honor throughout the company.

I agree with Bryan in my opinion justice was not served the executive should have been severely punished as well as stripped of his position. The company completely turned a blind eye to the situation highly due to the fact that the exec was a favorite in the company and the parent company. I he should have taken the issue to the authorities because the company did a poor job of handling the situation if the exec were embezzling money or some other tedious task he would have been fired and imprisoned so why not punish him for looking at child pornography on a company computer the same way. I think its good that he reported it to the proper channels but from the outcome he should have went further to establish justice.

There is no difference between refusing to do something and stopping someone from doing at least in my opinion there isn't. In this case for Gary there wasn't much...
