In this passage the story tells us about Jesus in a way that he will come back like a thief in the night. So we need to be ready and also be on the lookout for him when he comes. We need to have our guards up and prepared to receive him in the hour and the time where we can account for our actions. It also lets us know that Jesus don’t want our house to be broken up but yet together because a family that prays together stays together.

Now for the writer is saying the first story in Matt. 24:42 therefore watch, for ye not know what hour the lord will come. We have expected that the Lord will come at any hour of the day. So we have to always watch and prayer until he comes so that we can receive him. The second story, the writer is explaining in Matt. 24:43 But know this, that if the Goodman of the house had known in what to watch the thief would come. He would have watched, would not have suffered his house been broken up. He is explaining that we have to be spiritual awake to receive Christ we he comes that means that our heart and mind has to be right to receive God during judgment day. He is also telling us that our relationship with God has to be pure and genuine for the devil not to steal our joy away from being with God.

Last, the writer is explaining matt. 24:44, which says there be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the son of man cometh. This means is ready to be judge when God comes and judge you this day. This is what you need to expect when it is your time to be judge by the Lord and ye need to be ready to answer God the right way and not the way you think that the Lord want to hear because he knows everything. So is right with God and you will be in heaven with the father.
