1. Why have you chosen the elective classes included in your degree plan?

I chose the elective classes included in my degree plan because I plan on working in Probation/Parole which is part of Corrections. I feel these electives will better my knowledge on this field.

2. What skills and knowledge do you expect to learn from these classes?

I expect to learn what probation/officers do and how their jobs are performed. I also hope to learn things that I can use to help my clients to better their lives and to be able to succed in society. I also expect to learn what my clients go through while they are incarcerated.

3. How will these individual skills and knowledge help you in your field?

The skills and knowledge I learn from these electives will help me understand my clients more and help me set goals for them to achieve. They will also help me with more knowledge on how to perform my job to the fullest.

4. How will these electives further your career goals in general?

These electives will help me towards my degree and when I get my degree these electives will give me the knowledge of the field I will be working in. They will help me to be able to succeed and to perform my job to the best of my ability.
