Mavericks Football Club

1.1 The club known as Mavericks Football Club*, is hereby established on the 23/08/13 and shall be affiliated with SAFA-Western Province and FIFA.

1.2 Mavericks FC is an open club. Therefore open to all members of the public.

1.3 The club will not be allowed to distribute the profits of the club to any person. The profits of the club are to be used accordingly and for the good of the club.

1.4 Club headquarters are located in Ocean View

*The decision to name the club after the township in the Western Province was an easy one. Taking the history of the township into consideration and reflecting on how hard the township has fought to be where it is now, naming the club after the township feels more as if the club are doing it to honour the township. The club aims to bring the community of Ocean View together with the use of sport.

1. Colours and Logo

2.5 The colours are to be blue, white and brown.*

*These colours were chosen on the basis of the heart and soul of the township. It is a symbol that has the power to unify and bring the community together.

2.6 The badge is to be displayed on the left hand side of the chest, covering the heart, of all clothing associated with the club.

2.7 The badge is to remain as it is. If changes want to be made, they will be brought before the board of members for deliberation, only after the board has been briefed on the changes.

3. Objectives

4.1 The mission of the club is to -

* Promote and encourage participation in Football within the community, under the jurisdiction of Western Province Football Association.

* Contribute to the development and to protect the interest of Football.

* Protect the game against any form of abuse.

* Administer to all or any rules, laws and regulations of the South African Football Association.

* Ensure a safe and well sanctioned club.
