PURPOSE
People face daunting personal security risks every day. Crime is a problem in every realm. The Philippines is no exemption. The crime reports are increasing significantly. But as the country heads to a more prosperous future, many expect crime to go down eventually. However, the questions “How will it be reduced?”, “What actions should be made?” still remain to be unsolved.
The purpose of this project is to produce a CCTV with Thermal Imaging and Motion Detector. Unlike, the ordinary Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), which purpose is to monitor and record events, the CCTV with Thermal Imaging and Motion Detector not only to monitor but detect possible weapons that could harm people thus, prevents unlawful act. This device is more effective than the CCTV since not all are in good quality.
Since the goal of the researchers is to protect people’s security, with these research it would help the government have an overview of how to reduced and solve crime effectively. The researchers should pursue this research since it is very vital in preventing and reducing crimes. Also, the societies today are far more reliant on technology so this research will be beneficial.
BACKGROUND
Last January 26, 2013, six men made off with nearly 200 pieces of jewelry after they carried out a brazen two-minute heist inside a packed department store in Mandaluyong City.
