Reflect and describe which key concepts and topics in this course have made you a stronger candidate to enter the business world.

There are at least two concepts that I believe to be key, in what I have learned and benefited from MT435 Operations Management. The two concepts are Forecasting and Layouts; these are concepts that are not only significant and logical, but can simply become two concepts that I can certainly merge into whatever management position that I may acquire and two concepts that I could teach whoever may take my place.

When the concept of Layouts was discussed in the MT435 Operations Management course, it made me want to literally laugh out loud because, you take a moment and think about how department stores and supermarkets are structured and then it dawns on you that this was a part of some sort of choreography that was purposely done to achieve the attention of the consumer. Once this is discovered, I feel that this is yet another process that is opening up the doors to understanding management.

Forecasting is another concept that captured my attention and intrigued my curiosity about management; this is an organizational concept to me that is not only used within the business world but is also used in someone’s everyday life.

Discuss how this course has affected you in your professional development as a student and as a person as well as encouraging you on your academic path.

The MT435 Operations Management course has affected me in two ways; it has confirmed the career path that I have chosen to seek. This course has also provided the inspiration that is needed to accomplish the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration that I feel will assist in opening a few doors towards that career path into the business world.
