Build-A-Bear has experienced unique success as it has found a very distinctive way to satisfy several customer needs, wants and demands in one single experience. The clientele of Build-A|-Bear demonstrate a need for the teddy bear. Although the teddy bear is not a necessity, the customers have a need in their life for the bear for different reasons. The reason for needing a bear could be to provide a gift, or provide comfort or a smile to some appreciative recipient or one’s self.

The customers of Build-A-Bear want personalization, choice, and an experience when completing their purchases. They want not only a bear but a special memory to cherish along with that product. These wants include extra features that would not be included in your typical stuffed animal purchase – the friendly staff, the fantasy environment of the store, the options available to completely customize a toy.

Build-A-Bear clients have a demand for the products which are customized stuffed animals. The client can use their buying power to add as many customizations as they can afford to their stuffed animal, and Build-A-Bear can meet this demands by ensuring that the accessories and all of the products are readily available to meet that demand.
