Do not underestimate the professor's advice that this class will be more challenging than your previous classes.

This class will make you think outside the box to determine solutions for problems with little guidance and direction. Also, this course will make you utilize all the information that you have learned from your previous finance classes, which is a great skill that will be needed in your professional career. These are some elements that make this a great course.

Side Note: take good note and think everything is important because you could be tested on it.

Advice to incoming class:

So you guys are finally at the last class before you graduate! Well the best advice I can say is don't "sleep" on this class. Finance is a challenge and so is this capstone course. Be sure you read up on all the chapters in the textbook and go over the power point and spreadsheets the professor uploads on blackboard. The ultimate goal the professor wants you is to know the concepts so you if understand the concept and explain it, you should be fine in this course. Attend all the chat sessions because they are very useful and you will also know the assignments that will be coming up. If you are doing presentations, make sure your group members are well rehearsed because the professor wants it straight to the point (it’s no different than if you were doing a presentation for the CEO of a company). if you follow this, you should be fine and u will get a lot out of it even if u don’t remember all the other classes u have passed. In the syllabus, the professor states the workload is 33% more than any other MBA course you've taken, which is true. In order to tackle the workload, strict time management is key, you will always have an assignment due or pending, so read ahead when possible.
