Informal Writing

Social Identity means that it’s just another way to express yourself and how you reveal yourself to others. For example I am Asian American born and currently reside in Houston, Texas. We also tend to increase our self-image by discriminating ones race or religion. Americans usually tend to understand social identity by categorizing people into different groups or sections.

Hello my name is Fatin Ahmed. I just recently graduated from Sharpstown International School and I’m very excited to be a part of UHD this year. I am ready for this class but I don’t really like to write that much. English has always been one of all-time favorite subjects and I hope to love the subject English this semester. I plan to work very hard this year and to do assignments as soon as I get them and not to wait until the last minute. I want my peers to know that I’m there for them and that I can be very supportive of them. I love to treat my peers like as if they are my brothers and sisters, because I am the only child.

I met a couple of my friends from a long time ago during my middle school years. So I am excited to meet them after so long. School this week has be a drag because it’s the first week so it’s taking me awhile to figure out where my classes and how college life is really like. I like to work on cars during the long hot summers. I like to take my time fixing and installing parts because you need to install it only once properly. I take pride in everything I do and I try to do the best I can. I come from a well-educated and supporting family who also expect me to be well educated and righteous. I define my identity as a person who thrives on taking on any challenge and support my friends and family even it means risking my own life for them.
