Finance Concentration

There are different types of career, majors, or concentrations in life, but people try to choose their career for something that they like or that is interesting to them. In the Business Administration major, society can locate a variety of concentrations, but most importantly, they can find the Finance concentration. Some people want to pursue the Finance concentration because one of the upper division classes is Finance 300, and that class requires certain level of mathematics, certain accounting knowledge, and economics knowledge. Therefore, undergraduates choose Finance as their concentration because these topics are really interesting for some people, and some other people love these topics with passion. Another thing for what people choose Finance is that any person with this concentration can practice this career in almost any part of the world. Consequently, to complete a Finance concentration students are required to take BA upper division classes and five Finance concentration classes.

In most cases the school gives the students privilege to choose what type of Finance classes they want to take. These types of Finance classes are Corporate Finance, International Finance, Financial Markets and Institution, and Investments. The Business Development Center office at California State University of Bakersfield states “For Corporate Finance students can take Finance 300, Finance 400, and Finance 600. For International Finance, students can take Finance 490 and Finance 685. For Financial Markets & Institution, students can take Finance 460, and Investments they can take Finance 460”. Also, undergraduates have the option to pick three Finance classes and two electives. Those electives include an accounting class or a management class, or an economics class.

Most of the Universities or Colleges prerequisites or suggestions are for the scholars to have a much more successful career and to have a good development in their field. For...
