Tesco lotus was originated from Tesco (United Kingdoms) and the company also had joint venture in Thailand with Pokphand group and finally become to Tesco Lotus. Generally, Tesco Lotus is a one of leading retail business operator in Thailand with 5 main types of retail stores: Extra, Hypermarket, Compact hyper, Tesco market and Express depending on the size of a store. Tesco also have over 1,000 stores and over 45,000 employees across Thailand.

Tesco Lotus is currently the second largest international retail business, serving over 11 million customers every week in over 1,400 stores all over Thailand that make the company get a lot of budget and be able to develop its products and services with that capital. From that capacity, Tesco lotus has ability to control every single production process. They also focus on human resource and provide a team in order to check the condition of food before delivering to stores that is why Tesco Lotus is able to serve the high quality product with a low price for both and help those shoppers to deal with the increase of cost of living nowadays. If the food consumers have purchased is not in a good condition, the company also has an approach and prepares a capital to return them money in or der to gain consumer satisfaction. Additionally, Tesco also invest money for online shopping which requires IT team to look after the software. In term of location, Tesco lotus tries to provide its services to every single community in order to serve both food and non-food product to every shoppers with a low price. Moreover, there are has approximately 45,000 employees and the effective management team working for the company.

Tesco Lotus is committed to protect the environment and aim to lead in climate change and be Asia’s first zero-carbon store in Bang Pra in Chonburi in 2011. The store uses the latest technologies to minimize energy consumption. All stores were built in Thailand...
