Using material from item A and elsewhere, examine the reasons why females now tend to achieve more than males in the education system.

At the modern era in general girls are now performing better than the boys in education which contrasts the trend that used to be in the past 100 years in which boys seemed to perform better than the girls. This sign of this unbalance of the trend started to emerge during the early 1990’s. The first view that tries to explain why Boys are underperforming in education than girls is the view “Boys Falling Behind”. This view suggests that it is not much that girls are just achieving better than before but there is a “Problem” with boys and education which need to be addressed. The main reason to the view is that males are developing less positive attitudes towards education than females which was stated by Barber (1994). Askew and Ross (1988) argue that the socialization of boys leads them to attach little importance of academic work and they suggest to increase male performance in school schools require to provide workshops for the underachieving males and encourage them to talk more openly and honestly. In 1994 a TV show panorama drew on an American...
