1. Most business should engage in e-commerce in the internet. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Explain your position.

Most people in today’s world have some sort of connected to the internet device. While Inetmarketing states that the reasons for engaging in E-commerce “may vary depending on the kind of business you have as well as your preferences and specific needs” that it that no business should ignore it as a profit building strategy to their business model. E-commerce means that a company is able to position themselves directly in the living room of the target audience through their own internet connected devices. E-commerce helps business customers serve themselves, giving the proper value to consumer interest and preference. Today, businesses both large and small are moving towards web for the prosperity of their business.

I think, businesses should use internet and make the best out of it to sustain its place and grow among its competitors. I believe this is going to be the future of service based business simply because of its convenience. If you need a Wal-Mart, wouldn’t it be better to have it at your disposal rather than 15 miles down the road?

2. What are the critical success factors for retail e-Business startups?

Selection and Value. Attractive product selections, competitive prices, satisfaction guarantees, and customer support after the sale.

Performance and Service. Fast and easy navigation, shopping, and purchasing, and prompt shipping and delivery.

Look and Feel. Attractive Web storefront, Web site shopping areas, multimedia product catalog pages, and shopping features.

Advertising and Incentives. Targeted Web page advertising and e-mail promotions, discounts, and special offers, including advertising at affiliate sites.

Personal Attention. Personal Web pages, personalized...
