Riordan Manufacturing, owned by Riordan Industries, is a global plastic manufacturer with projected annual earnings of $46 million. Riordan is a Fortune 1000 company with revenue of more than $1 billion and has an employee base of 550. Riordan has a plant in Albany, Georgia which produces plastic beverage containers. It has a facility in Pontiac, Michigan which specializes in manufacturing of custom plastic parts. Riordan also owns a facility in Hangzhou, China which specializes in production of plastic fan parts. The company’s headquarters are in San Jose, California; this is where the company’s research and development takes place. Riordan’s major customers include automotive part manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, beverage makers and bottlers, appliance manufacturers, and the Department of Defense (Virtual Organization, 2009).

The following is a Corporate Compliance Plan that will state the company’s legal aspects, responsibilities, and regulations necessary to continue to be profitable. The plan will discuss the laws affecting the plastic industry and guidelines to manage policies and procedures including employee compliance. The focus of the plan it to responsibly manage the legal liabilities faced by Riordan’s officers and directors. The plan includes an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), product liability, international laws, tangible and intellectual property laws, legal forms of business, and corporate governance.
