The agency that received the money from the foundations for the part-time salary of an employee has requirements to meet on behalf of the granting foundations. We were told that at least two of the foundation request that the money be used for what it was requested for. However, we do not know what the third foundation’s requirement for the use of the money is.

It is important to find out how the other foundation would like for the money to be used just in case the agency decides to use the money for anything other than its requested purpose since there was more money awarded than expected.

The stakeholders are the companies that awarded the agency the money, and the agency director that requested the money. The grantors do not want this money to be wasted. This is why they usually have requirements for the use of the money once it is awarded. The director is in a great position at the moment. The agency director can choose to have an employee that is considered full-time or spread the money out over the course of three years for a part-time employee. In order to uphold my civic obligation for the good of the community and the organization, I would maximize the money by stretching it over a period of three years. Therefore, by doing this, the organization will have this part-time need met and secured for a specified time of three years. I think that this would be the moral thing to do from an ethical standpoint. In addition, there would be no concerns about the misappropriation of funds awarded by the three foundations.
