Vintage Reflections Boutique Interview

Vintage Reflections Boutique is trendy ladies fashion store that provides clothing, fashion jewelry, repurposed fun funky hand painted furniture, and much more, at affordable prices. The store is located on 104 Jefferson Street in Pittsburg, Texas, and it is owned and operated by Tamara Hefner. Vintage Reflections Boutique was started in November of 2009 and has turned into a successful small town business overnight. Tamara Hefner is a close friend from back home, and she took a few minutes out of her day to talk about her business and the actual process of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

Personally knowing Tamara really helps to understand what has made her and her business so successful up until now. Tamara would describe herself as being really into fashion, pampering, and being crafty, basically she is the perfect example of a “girly-girl.” What makes these traits of her so desirable for her type of business is that she can connect with other females really well, or girls that have the same traits as her. The location of the business also helps, because she not only started the business in Pittsburg, but she grew up there as well. Pittsburg, which is located in East Texas, has a small town environment that surrounds it, and surrounding towns. The East Texas culture can be described as being very welcoming, and people friendly. In this type of culture it is not unusual to see people return to the town where they grew up to start a family/life. That is one key to Tamara Hefner’s success with her business. Not only is she one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, but also she has a business that is surrounded by people she knows, grew up knowing, or has met through other hometown friends.
