Personal responsibility to me means that, I am responsible for my own actions and the consequence of my own decisions, with responsibility comes dignity and a feeling of accomplishment. Education is a personal responsibility, attending classes, submitting assigned work and maintaining a high GPA. These goals can only be attained through time management, and determination.

Personal responsibility is what allows me to push forward with my educational goals. The need to be successful and educated is important. My children watch and learn from the examples that I set. The implementation of what I call homework sessions in our house enable myself and my children to do school work together as a family unit. This is how we incorporate family time into our hectic lifestyle. While it is not easy to juggle a job, school, and family, it is essential to create a schedule and adhere to it.

Personal responsibility and college success go hand in hand. In order to be successful in school I realize that the need to first make a commitment to myself is important, without that there is no progression. The need to not get distracted by trivial things, staying focused and on track is essential. The steps that taken to achieve my goal is me excepting personal responsibility for my actions. If I should not do well in my endeavors then I know that I didn’t do something right. Only I can be responsible for my actions by making the necessary changes that may be needed to be successful educationally.

My plan, although I have never been one for walking that fine line of schedules, has made me realize that doing something like this is not a life change, it becomes a lifestyle. This is how I stand up and say I am responsible for my actions. I have always been one for planning things ahead of time. This helps when scheduling family time in between my class discussions.
