ABSTRACT:
Neck pain is a common problem, where two-third of the population
encounter it at some point in their life. Our neck contains muscles, bones, nerves,
arteries and veins, as well as many ligaments and other supporting structures.
Neck pain may arise due to muscular tightness in both the neck and upper back or
pinching of the nerves emanating from the cervical vertebrae . The most common
cause of neck pain is injury to the soft tissues which can occur from whiplash or
other injury to these areas. Hence, neck pain symbolizes the strength of the muscle
(i.e.) higher the pain, lower the strength. Our focus is to strengthen the neck
muscle so that the patient is relieved from pain. Here, we use a suitable pressure
sensor to sense the pressure exerted by the neck muscle. The degree of pressure
exerted determines the degree of strengthness. The pressure value is evaluated and
depending on it, the vibrations are sent. The vibrations improve blood circulation
in skin and muscles, strengthen bone tissue, improve lymph drainage and increase
the basal metabolic rate. All this results in more strength and rapid recovery of
muscles and tissue, increased flexibility, mobility and coordination, anticellulitis,
collagen improvement and fat reduction.
