Ichef

Background

iChef was a huge success, it has managed to raise awareness to the various stakeholders. iChef was an event hosted by Republic Polytechnic to promote the school, but also to showcase the state of the art facilities and launch of a new course for School of Hospitality. Republic Polytechnic aims to attract students who are keen to pursue in culinary, fulfil their dreams to carve a career in that industry.

With the launch of the Diploma in Restaurant and Culinary Operations, iChef is a platform for potential students. The competition aim is to also attract potential students to explore the possibilities culinary world with the participation of the competition.

Objective

The success of the event iChef, is known to many individuals from management to students in the school. However the success of iChef can only be measured if it has achieved the objective listed. Thus below is a list of objectives, we have for the upcoming iChef.

* Increase the awareness of the school by this event.

* To encourage students or potential hopefuls and also introduce them to the culinary world.

* Attract more industry partners and sponsors.

* Increase number of visitors for Open house.

* Increase the number of applicants especially for the School of Hospitality.

* Change Republic Polytechnic’s positioning.

Over the years, with the increase in demand of the hospitality industry, the school should look forward and dare to achieve. We aim to discover new individual with outstanding culinary touch, discover the perceived and true identity of Republic Polytechnic. Transform interest into reality, transform the mind of the public, allowing individuals to achieve their goals, realising their dreams and also achievement with the event so as to provide message to the public on what Republic Polytechnic is all about.
