History of Apple

Apple was established in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. The very first electronic device that Apple developed and sold was known as the Apple I. These were their first personal computers, even though they were just circuit boards that required the user to install it to a television for the display. Apple made 200 of these and even though this was a fairly simple electronic device, it was a huge breakthrough for personal computers during that time. On April 1, 1976 Ronald Wayne decided to exit the partnership selling his shares to Jobs and Wozniak for only $2,300. Soon after Wayne left, Apple was incorporated on January 3, 1977. Apple then came out with their more advanced Apple II and Apple III. Both of these computers, unlike the Apple I, had a case, keyboard, and a floppy disk drive. Apple had it’s initial public offering on December 12, 1980, where it generated more capital then any other company's IPO since Ford Motor Company in 1956. When Apple went public it instantly created 300 millionaires, which was more than any other company in history. Apple would go on to be known as pioneers in the tech industry with their groundbreaking products.
