ABSTRACT
Conflicts in many marriages are caused by gender roles, limitations and expectation (Cahn, 2009). The scenario in the case study eye to eye is a good example that documents how conflicts in most families begin. There are scenarios that reflect gender inequality and limitations as well as expectations in the marriage on the case study. The scenario is about a married couple who seem to trigger more conflict as they try to resolve their differences. Based on this case study, Wilmot and Hocker conflict assessment guide is arguably the suitable conflict guide here. Three questions will be used to assess this case study based on Wilmot and Hocker Conflict Assessment Guide. The first question would be how limitations, expectations, might and gender roles are operational in this scenario. The second will be how attempted solutions can become part of problem.
