The Fundamentalist Approach to the Bible:

The fundamentalist approach to the bible is a lot more different to the other approaches such as the Conservatives and the Liberal Christians but a lot more common to practising religious Christians which are more likely to be seen in places such as America. They (fundamentalists) believe that the bible is a direct message from god which was written by the prophets named in the bible, which is why most if not all believe every sentence of the bible.

The fundamentalist do not really question the bible but therefore they argue to defend it even when scriptures contradicts each other. For example, in the story of resurrection , in the Gospel according to Mathew, Mark and Luke, a group of women went to the tomb first but in the Gospel according to John, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb first. This clearly shows that some scriptures in the bible does contradict one another but the fundamentalist being their firm self they argued insisting that John probably did not mention the other women in his own scriptures but they were there and they believe it is an omission of words, and also the appearances of the Lord Jesus Christ took place on different occasions.

The fundamentalist approach to the bible appeals more to me unlike the conservative which have a more scientific approach to the bible. Most of them are proven and some are not but my main concern about the conservatives is that due to the fact that proving science can be wrong at times e.g. something that is right today maybe wrong in some years’ time. And in reference to the liberal Christians, they sound really confused because they choose a certain story and they believe it and the others that does not appeal to them they choose to class it as not happening.
