The first ethical dilemma that I would be solving is "A customer (or client) asked for a product (or service) from us today. After telling him our price, he said he couldn't afford it. I know he could get it cheaper from a competitor. Should I tell him about the competitor -- or let him go without getting what he needs? What should I do?" I decided to tell the client about the competitor. The reason why I decided this was because I wanted the client to see me as a trusted advisor not just as person trying to make money. I feel that by telling the client about the competitor and is prices the client would see that I truly am trying to help him and care for him, and not just trying to make money off him. By getting the client to feel this way I feel that if he has any more potential business he would come to me first because he or she would know I would point them in the right direction. The method that I used when facing this dilemma was the check list method. The check list method asks several questions and I have to rate the question on a scale of 1-5. The check list method and how it works is showed below:

2. | Involvement Test. Have I/we involved all who have a right to have input and/or to be involved in making this decision and action plan? | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |

3. | Consequential Test. Have I/we anticipated and attempted to accommodate for the consequences of this decision and action plan on any who are significantly effected by it? | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |

4. | Fairness Test. If I/we were assigned to take the place of any one of the stakeholders in this situation, would I/we perceive this decision and action plan to be essentially fair, given all of the...
