Questionnaire
1. Interviewer: What is your definition of bullying?
Interviewee: Bullying is a way to discourage someone and to pick on someone to make themselves feel better.
2. Interviewer: Do you recollect ever having been bullied?
Interviewee: No, kids just like to mess around and call people names but they’re just playing. So I know when they tell me stuff I know they are just messing around.
3. Interviewer: How were you bullied? (physically, verbally, other) did it lead to an altercation?
Interviewee: No
4. Interviewer: What was the reason you were bullied?
Interviewee: I was not bullied.
5. Interviewer: At what point in your education were you at when the incident happened? Was it continuous?
Interviewee: I was not bullied.
6. Interviewer: How serious do you think bullying is in our schools?
Interviewee: No I don’t think so. Like obviously it does happen but I don’t think it’s a major problem.
7. Interviewer: Would you step in and help a victim of bullying?
Interviewee: Yes, I have. I just didn’t think it was right to bully the kid. So I felt like it was the right thing to do to help him.
8. Interviewer: How would you deal with the bully?
Interviewee: I would tell a teacher. I wouldn’t allow it to go far because I wouldn’t want there to be a fight. I would like to kill it on the tracks.
9. Interviewer: What advice would you give to a person being bullied?
Interviewee: They should step up.
10. Interviewer: Do you think that suicides and shootings can be a result of bullying?
Interviewee: Yes, he was bullied because he was different form everyone else.
11. Interviewer: How could bullying be stopped?
Interviewee: Honestly, I do think bullying can be stopped. People just need to step up.
12. Interviewer: Have you ever bullied anyone?
Interviewee: No, I won’t do it because it’s a horrible thing to do.
