The reviewer of the novel, Detroit City Is the Place To Be by the author, Mark Binelli, interpreted it as a lesson that need to be taught around the society basically. He said that a lesson is that a city can be rise from the “dead” depend on the population that are willing to work to build their city back. It is similar to the concept of the human brain that has a need to answer a question once it showed up which is very interesting interpretation of the reviewer. He noticed that the book itself can be telling some false facts but sounded like a real fiction. Also he mentioned that the book has no ending which can be disappointing to the readers and that the book itself have many horrible decisions which can be end an issue in Detroit but it is complicating to the readers. He tried to prove that the author is good at telling stories but the problem is that he do not have themes, lessons, conclusions, and many more in his genre. The reviewer felt that the book is about a person never leave his city no matter what which can be boring to read. He noticed that Binelli like to write in different genres which is surprising in his own opinion. Also, he noticed that Binelli tend to write short biographies about people in various cities which can be strange to the reviewer himself. The reviewer ended with a powerful statement that said there is no answer in the book itself because Binelli did not give an answer or an explanation at all. He just keep going about Detroit and it doesn’t even make any senses to the reviewer himself. He always wonder what is the reason that killed Detroit, Gary, Baltimore or even America until it have a happening in the future itself. It is very frustrating for the reviewer himself.
