Delegation is the assignment of authority and responsibility to another person to carry out specific activities. The most important benefit of delegation is that the work gets done much more effectively and in time. No matter how perfect the manager is, the manager cannot do all the business in the same time by his/her own. If the manager delegates the work to a person who is able to give his/her best to the work at hard, this will helps in maintaining the quality of the work. Besides, the manager also can focus and utilize the extra time on another important assignment and do them much more efficiently. This is a way to better productivity and thus, more profits for the business.

Moreover, a manager, while delegating and supervising the work, gets to develop multiple leadership and managerial skills. The manager needs to know each employee’s abilities and make good use of their strengths.

Delegating increases the confidence of subordinates. If the manager takes over the responsibility, the subordinates will feel their leader has no confidence in them. Manager that gives important responsibilities to their employees, along with the freedom to complete the task their way, builds his employees’ innovation and satisfaction.

Delegation is an important task to mangers although it is not easy. Yet , it can also be done by taking methods effectively.

Firstly, when we start the delegation, we need to find out the staff’s current abilities and potential in order to allocate the suitable tasks to them. It is because everyone has their strong points and weakness. If we pass the works to a right person, everything will be effective with no doubt as they can reduce time to make decisions. Otherwise, the whole process will be slowed down. Then, we need to make sure the stuff understand the orders.
